I normally steer clear of the cheap espresso machines since they tend to lack a pump, which is necessary for the proper amount of pressure to create true espresso (otherwise you are creating more of a moka). This one actually has a pump and 15-bars of pressure though, so it might make a great deal for somebody who wants actual espresso but doesn't want to spend $100+ (really 200-300) that most mid-range espresso machines tend to cost.
