cool! interesting. perfect for when you're on the go. luckily most airports have places where u can charge your stuff, but u never know when it won't be available..

These are great!, I own several 1900 and now several 5000s as well and they make great gifts. A couple of points:
1) amazon has a similar one for $9.99,
2) all batteries are not created equally. I have bought some duds.
3) output on these seem max of 1.0A, and several others support 2.1A, so much quicker charging.

but certainly a lifesaving product (ok maybe phone saving) and an awesome gift instead of socks and fruitcake

Very good idea. I should keep one of these in my laptop case for when I travel. It's a pain in the butt to always try to find an outlet to plug in to.

This is good to have. But not sure how long they stay charged if they aren't used

These external batteries are really handy to have around in a pinch. Although, I don't know why you wouldn't just get a charging case
