At higher volumes the sound quality is below average, but at low and mid volume levels it is surprisingly good!

The trick is to keep the volume of the source at lower levels (iPhone/Smart phone or where ever you are streaming content from)and put your car's stereo to full volume. That way you don't loose the quality and end up getting a decent music system without having to pay for and install a new radio.

For $14.97+$2.29 I totally recommend it !

May be, but not all of the FM transmitters are good. Most of the cheaper ones which have swarmed in eBay and Amazon.com are not very good.
This one particularly, I deem to be better as it has DSP (Digital signal Processing) Unit which helps re-construction of the audio signal more efficient. Result = Better sound quality.
