I'm a happy Roku owner, but I never realized that even brand-new Roku players come with only a 90-day warranty. It doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their product.

I set one of these up for my Mother-in-law & it's working GREAT. Simple enough for anybody to use! Also, i called Dish yesterday to complain about losing AMC channel - they are sending me a FREE one & crediting my bill enough for me to buy some episodes online..

I don't know if it is typical of streaming Netflix on blueray players, but my niece got one to do primarily that and it was a huge disappointment. You could not browse and play movies directly from the TV. You had to go to your computer and add what you want to watch to your instant queue. Only then do those and only those items show up on the blueray device - a complete PITA. She returned the player and later got a Roku and is very happy with it.
