I'm kinda surprised that they are even bothering making USB 3.0 drives in 4GB but for $5 you get a very fast (if rather small) thumb drive.

I believe that's 4G, not 4GB. It's for using with t-mobile's cell phone tower based internet/data connection plans. Not a bad way to go if you need internet on your laptop outside your normal wifi areas.
