Your argument does make sense. It's a similar item by a different manufacturer, which means it is also a different link.

You only update the deal when the link is the same. This is not the exact same item so it'd be stupid to update it.

If 2 similar items are posted on DP, it's up to the buyer to decide which they want. If Amazon has 2 no name brand tv's, 2 people would post them even if they are both the same size. This has always been the case. Not sure where you're coming up with these "rules"
