I made this one time while volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters. It was a ton of fun and my mom's gotten a lot of use out of it! 100% would recommend.

The metal loom is the way to go...they last a lifetime. I still use the potholders I made for my Mom...hate to admit it, but they must be 50 years old. The cotton loops are the best, the nylon ones are stretchy & may be easier to work with, but they will melt on very hot pots & pans.
