Dadan is the center of a family-run group of artisans that employs dozens of other artisans making jewelry. Dadan is an extraordinary person. She has a keen eye for good design and artistic production, and is truly mission-control in her family business. Each component of each piece of jewelry is made by different artisans in different villages, and she orders and tracks each piece as it is made and comes in. Some necklaces have over 20 different components from 20 different villages.
