Beneficial Bumblebee House

*Free shipping with code GARDEN12
Invite beneficial pollinating bumblebees to take up residence
Designed for the specific needs of bumblebees
Attractive, durable design combined with functionality and convenience
One of nature's most valuable pollinators, bumblebees need a warm, dry place to overwinter. This house is a cozy shelter with smart features for the bees. It has two chambers, one for the queen and one for the worker bees; screens provide good ventilation. Includes raw cotton nesting material, too. Lift the removable top, and a clear plastic panel lets you observe the bees' behavior. Place it in the garden in full or partial shade.

I'd rather have bumble bees live in this house instead of my picnic bench or porch! (Also, thumbed down the "Did this deal work for you?" part by accident. Sorry! Misclicked :/)

I think some do live near our front door - would be nice to relocate them nearer to the garden. ...and no problem on the thumb thing. I would be nice if those could be changed. I know I did it to a coupon I was liking...oops!

Thanks, solowkoe;) It looks like such a humble abode, I almost passed reading the description. The clear panel to observe the bees is kinda neat. I had one bumblebee last week, on an unusually warm day, that was trying to dig a hole in my garden...maybe it sensed the snow storm that was coming.

If there were no bees, we would all die, because there would be no food! Everyone should buy one of these to keep the bee population alive and well! :)

cool post. I might give this a try, if I can get over the fact of having bee's around.

I too read an article, on increasing tomato production. I use a paintbrush to spread the pollen, but only a couple times a week...article said some gardeners do it 5 - 6 times a day! - as the fertility changes...either I need an ovulation kit for my tomatoes, or try for more Bumblebees;)
