I just noticed that it now takes subscribe and save orders a month to be shipped. I wont be using that anymore unless its something I dont need right away.

That would kill their sales. Are sure that all S&S items are doing that or were they short on the item you were after?

amazon's advantage is management system, not product. amazon is a technology company, not a commercial company

I just noticed it on 2 of the orders I recently placed and you will see it right near the subscribe and save price. It is different than if it is something that is out of stock and it says they will ship as soon as they get it in. When I called customer service about it they said that I could get it sooner which would cost more by canceling my order and submitting the prime only price.

I noticed that too, I ordered something about a week ago and it said it wouldn't be shipped until sometime in November!!

There's a lot of unhappy subscribers. Scroll down to Customer Discussions: Subscribe and Save

Titles of interest:
Now NEW subscriptions require you to wait until your monthly delivery day (up to 37 days!)
s&s are changes are getting worst, now i have to wait longer for the diaper
Have to wait longer for extra delivery

It had to have been losing them a lot of money for them to do that. I still still Amazon as more customer-centric than the majority of stores so I hope they explain their move (without the use of corporate jargon of obfuscation). I am very guilty of using S&S for the price and then immediately cancelling the subscription so perhaps there were too many others like me doing the same. I'm not excusing them but simply supplying a plausible reason.
