Q: Best Camcorder?

I have a Tech. Site and I am in the market for a good, inexpensive camcorder. I do YouTube reviews for mobile tech accessories, like phone cases and smartphone reviews. What I want is:

-1080p HD
-Fast Auto Focus
-Under $200

Those are my top three specs.

Do any of you guys have experience with something that falls within those specs?

Thanks for the help.

Canon makes excellent camcorders. Are you looking for handheld ones or larger- over the shoulder type?

1080P is all the craze. reminds me of when megapixels were and people bought into all that craze. 1080P is just the resolution and most 1080P camcorders in your price range are trash because there is no true 1080p video camcorders out there in that price range. They all interpolate video which result in lesser quality than your average camcorder. About the best you'll do in that price range is the Samsung HMX-H3

I need 1080p because I post to YouTube. Giving the viewers all options to view in what video quality they will help my channel's viewing experience.

1080P has nothing to do with video quality though. Its just the resolution of the image not the quality. Otherwise nobody would buy Samsung tv's we would all just get 1080P Westinghouse TV's.

I understand what you are saying. Understand what I am saying. When someone has the option to put the quality up to 1080p, they will. And people like the fact that a YouTube video has the option to put the HD as high as it can go.

Well unfortunately you will actually lose quality by going with a 1080P camcorder due to the interpolation. That being said I can even begin to imagine the amount of time I spend on youtube every week at work and dont recall ever wasting my time to switch to an HD version of the same video I already started watching and then had to restart so I could watch it in no better quality/ Just my 2 cents. Why dont you make a video and inform people about how much 1080P really doesnt matter unless they are using a tv as a monitor.
