Where do you guys think the best place to buy xmas lights is typically? Is one store usually better than the others?

Depends on when and what. If you aren't too picky you can get some really good deals on lights on Black Friday at CVS, Walgreens, Home Depot, and Lowes. Home Depot has a light trade in program as well. If not on Black Friday, I would go with Wal Mart.

for some reason I always end up buying my lights at Big Lots. No particular reason, I just enjoy shopping for holiday decorations there.

I like Amazon because you can see objective product reviews and competitive pricing. Unless you want to replace your lights every year, it's a good idea to get decent quality. Here's a link:

Home Depot will give you money back towards your new lights purchases for your old lights.
