Q: Better Flagging System? Editing Requests?

Yesterday I posted this deal:
http://dealspl.us/Cell-Phone-Accessories_deals/p_ben-s-outlet-is-offering-verizon-deluxe-leather-tablet

I received 27plusses. I was excited. But then it was deleted because it was actually posted a couple weeks ago.

http://dealspl.us/Home-Garden_deals/p_verizon-deluxe-leather-tablet-sleeve-with-front-pocket

I agree the original poster needs the credit, but it now bums me out that I had a good plus trend going then deleted just like that. And not too mention the deal is now a Staff Pick...

I have seen the request for a better system for flagging down duplicates. I am not posting this to whine, but I am curious to know if there is anything in the works?

It would also be nice to be able to edit categories, etc. For example, the OP assigned this deal to Home and Garden. Obviously this is NOT a Home and Garden product but a Communications Accessory. Which may also explain why my post was not flagged down prior to submitting the deal. Notice the link url differences.

With all this said, I know this site is a user based run site and relies on us users, so are there any programers that could help improve the site. Can mods reach out for help?

Thanks for being a great community of deal hunters.

I hear your pain... this happens to often. That a deal gets plussed, but someone else had posted the exact deal a while back, or something very similar, and the other one gets to be staff picked.

sometimes we have to search by keyword, store name or both for example bensoutlet verizon sleeve or just bensoutlet verizon
