Q: Craigslist!

I noticed something. I have never heard craigslist mentioned on this site! I use craigslist every single day to flip phones for a little extra cash, and whatever else I can find that sounds cool. For example, yesterday I found someone selling a tj maxx $105 and gordmans $135 dollar gift cards for 100 for both. I bought the giftcards, sold the gordmans one on a gift card selling website for 93 bucks, and then kept the tj maxx card for $7 dollars.  Quite a lucky find lol. Anyone else use craigslist and have some crazy deal stories too?

I use CraigsList and do very well. I quit eBay after more than 1,000 transactions because I had buyers steal the items in the last three out of four transactions I did and PayPal immediately sided with them and I was out the money AND they managed to keep the items. Done with eBay. Craigslist is very straighforward and you don't have to worry about PayPal stealing your money.

That sounds like a pretty awesome find.

I don't sell anything or buy anything on craigslist, not that i wouldn't, i frequently do giveaway stuff from time to time on there. ex. like stock piles of old magazines, broken appliances that people could fix up, and such. One person trash, is another persons treasure=)

@kffight3r I watched Craiglist Joe too, pretty awesome movie. people should check it out, its on netflix.

@erick99 I'm scared of that happening to me on ebay... I'm going to just have to go with the flow until that happens. With phones you CAN track them though, so I think I wouldn't be ripped off ever, just majorly inconvenienced trying to find where it is.

Awesome!! I love deals like this. Actually I'm very lucky b/c my fiance works a part time wknd job @ a check cashing place. the customers will bring in their gift cards and ask him to buy them at a cheaper price. Example: We got a $500 Home Depot gift card for 200$!! Walmart $120 for %60. Capital Grill (expensive Restaurant in my area)$100 for $30!!etc.. it sure is a great feeling! but you are right, u can grab these deals on craigslist but be quick before someone grabs them :))

Eric I had the same experience with ebay. It is very unfair how Paypal usually sides with the buyer. It is infuriating

My only experiences (2) with Craigslist ended up with me getting bogus 'buyers' which just became spam mail.

I've had good luck on Craigslist as both a buyer and seller and even made a pen (email) pal. Just gotta be savvy!
