I've been a member here on Dealsplus since 2008. I saw some nice changes and was wondering what would you change /add to the site so it becomes more user friendly, better looking or anything else you would like to see... I was thinking about it for a while and thought about few things that might be good to have: 1. Ability to add/change picture after the deal was submitted. 2. Ability to delete listing by creator if it is duplicate or obsolete. (similar to section with coupons where you can delete added coupon by clicking on red x). 3. Enhance voting system - make option to not only plus deals but also have neutral (0) or negative (-1) feedback (similar to eBay). 4. Create / enhance "Select a Category" selection when deal getting submitted. (have more options under "electronics" section, add separate auto parts/accessories section, etc) 5. Enhance scoring system so if duplicate is posted the score goes down automatically -5 or more points. This will make users be more accurate when they post dup deals. 6. Ability to change user name (no more then once in a month) so it will not be abused. 7. In order to have best deals appear on front page and not some mediocre stuff, enhance voting system and limit number of + points depending on user score (now I think +4 and +5 is way to high). Standard could be +1, of user score is over 10K it could be +2, 50K = +3, 100K = +4, 150K = +5 8. Have separate section/field for coupons only while posting standard deals. So when deal has a coupon code it can be entered there separately and has a "copied to clipboard" option once clicked - it will make it more user friendly. 9. Move "Preview" section from the bottom of the page to the right side of the post - it will be easier to see what needs to be changed right away. 10. Add "Online / Offline" status next to users as well as add Skype, Yahoo messenger, MSN or any other tool so user can be contacted if needed. 11. The most plussed deal could have a better/bigger presentation on the top of the page. If it is indeed a great deal it will have more exposure and should be more visible. Something like "Deal Of The Day" section. 12. For deals featured on front page and that are getting ready to expire they might want to show it on the picture (like expired tag) so it will give better idea for people to hurry up and get it before it expires. Or for example have "gold box" or"lightning deal" image or similar like amazon that will tell users that this is very short deal and will expire in "hours" not "days", better hurry :) 13. Display "user status" next to the user ID that can say something like "Best Deal Poster/submitter", or "Power Poster/submitter", "Top 10, top 100, top 1000 poster/submitter". 14. Ability to include videos in the listing for video product reviews. 15. Have section on front page for "best user/submitter" or "top 5" of the month to identify the most active and productive member(s) that have posted best (plussed) deals. Well, thats about all for now. Hope to see some new ideas here. Thanks!

I would like to see who pluses a deal. That way people cannot bump their post up with aliases.

Some more categories we need are pets, babies, and food.

pets and babies can be found in the "other" category.

I think users should stop spamming by posting continuously thread after thread from "other" sites. Feels like this is more of a data entry job as opposed to finding super good deals.

All great Ideas, I think. One that I can think of is a "Time Stamp" on posts when created and edited etc. etc.

Orion Star - actually time is posted. But only minutes will display. It could be nice to see seconds stamp as well, just as a reference (e.g. "Deal posted January 28th at 10:07:45 AM)

maybe consider a limit on posting so others could put in some posts and so that high volume posters have to decide which postings are the best and not just put in everything they see. Also, I would like to be able to edit the picture of my own postings.

Yes I know that, I guess I wasn't to concise with my statement, but its along the line you referenced. ("Last updated Date time or "Modified on" date time)

I love your first two:

"1. Ability to add/change picture after the deal was submitted.
2. Ability to delete listing by creator if it is duplicate or obsolete. (similar to section with coupons where you can delete added coupon by clicking on red x)."

It's annoying when the wrong picture is uploaded. You have to wait for a mod. to change it and we all know how important a good picture is to get people to view your deal.

In addition to some of the ideas listed above I'd like to:
1)be able to sort my submitted deals by store, so when a code/coupon changes I can go through & update.
2)have an "only visible to me" place. Some deals I see I'm just curious about, or maybe it triggered an idea...a place to keep notes.
3)maybe an icon reminder if a particular store is listed in any of the cash back sites.

Here is another one - on your profile page add new tab that says "Expired" deals. So you can see all expired listings and go check if the deal is back alive and proper update status can be posted.

Another good idea is to have limitations on number of posts per day (24 hour period).

This will give other users more freedom of posting deals, or should I say copy deals from other sites and posting them here.

I suggested this: Ability to add/change picture after the deal was submitted a while back ago.

Even made the suggestion that it should be mandatory that a photo is submitted on each deal. I see way to many deal submissions that are void of this.

People like to see what they are buying and should be able to see it right off the deal page instead of having to click through to find out exactly what it is.

Plus deals without a picture does little to enhance the deals pages.

I would also like a search bar back on the Money Makers page. That way us MM's can check to see if we are getting credit for a particular deal.
Thanks :D

I'd love a separate category for daily deals! Or limited time offers. Also, I'm having issues posting comments. After I write, then press post, it deletes it all & inputs 'please tell us why you like this deal'.

Agree with being able to edit your deal. Also like the "deal of the day" tab to feature today's hot deals...they can be missed.
