Just finished up the laundry for the night. I wish I had a "laundry room"! Instead I walk down to the basement, bit dark, dreary and smells..So boring :) Although we have a super nice set of high efficiency washer and dryer. Come to think of it we got an awesome deal at Home Depot in October 2009 when we moved. Price match from Sears, 10% off from the movers guide coupon and no interest financing for one year all for $750 including tax...At the very least I do laundry knowing I got a great deal..Too bad it did not include fold and put away service:)

You know so many people love doing laundry and would never want help or maid service! I just don't understand why people enjoy doing laundry, so boring, folding, matching socks etc. etc. Yes MrBklynW researching prices saves you big!!! Sorry about your electric bill :(

My hubby and I share this chore...for me though, there's nothin' better than the smell of sheets and towels that have been line-dryed outside:)

i know branie, really wish i did but whats done is done.

Another thing about laundry, have you ever left wet laundry in the washer in a hot day and after a few hours it smelled like a dead rat died in it=P

Lucky Ezzy :) My husband has no desire to do laundry at all. Although he enjoys lawn work so he does the lawn, I do the laundry everything else me usually do as a team.

@MrBklynW--Luckily I have never left my laundry in the washer, although sometimes I forget to turn on the dryer, I then go downstairs in about an hour only to find wet clothes, still!

I enjoy doing laundry. It's not like I go around the neighborhood asking if I can do my neighbor's (I might, but the creepy factor is too high), but it's a short burst of a feeling of accomplishment. I may never clean the bathroom, but dang it, I have clean clothes.

An odd "question" to ask, but yeah, I hate laundry, probably the least favorite thing to do. I do all the others, vacuum, clean tubs and toilets, weekly cleanings for our many large aquariums, etc; and really I don't mind washing clothes, it's the hanging them up when I'm just gonna pull 'em right back down. At this point, the wife and I just wash our clothes and put them in bins, with our important dress clothes being thrown on a over-the-door towel rack in the laundry area so they stay wrinkle free. And actually, if you use softener and wait for clothes to cool, and keep most the settings on cool, the clothes in the bins aren't really wrinkled either.
