Q: Just an experiment, please a high rep user participate in this.
|
I was wondering, why are my deals getting no attention? I just wanted to try this experiment. I was just wondering if it was my deals that were bad, or that us low rep users get overlooked. If you are of a decently high rep, go to my username and pair up with me on one of my deals. I don't care about my deal getting thumbs up, I just want to see how the thumbs up amounts compare.

| hahah thanks brah, @encorez but some of my deals are really good and I don't see why they aren't noticed! I have a burton zip up sweatshirt for 2.99 free shipping. Thats crazy cheap. Did it get a single thumbs up? no. How did you get your 1.79k rep? |

What do you mean by "pair up with me on one of my deals"? So far, it just looks like your deals are pretty specific so the chances of someone (or a lot of people) looking for your deal and finding it is on the rarer side. Shrug. Don't worry, I've been with dealspl.us for a while (since July '08) and it takes a while to build rep. Just comment on deals and the community will plus you if they like it. Higher rep -> higher initial deal "score" -> more attention (I guess?) |

| Trust me rep is not that easy to make. It took me 6 months to cross the 1K rep but once I got there seemed like me and my deals were finally getting noticed and then it went from 1K to 2.5K in a month! I felt exactly the way you do right now...but the best advice I have for you is to comment on other deals for your username to be noticed. I see the same names over and over again commenting on all the deals because they are so active and that's how they get popular. Hope this helps. :) |

| And off course try and post generic deals that would grab the attention of any age group and gender. Household item is a good example! |

| Sure...anytime! Also another thing that came to my mind that is very important is the time you post the deal. While people are at work...not a lot of them are active on dealspl so make sure that you are posting deals around or after 4-5pm. So many deals get posted every hour that your deal has already gone to the 3rd - 4th page of the Fresh deals tab by the time everyone gets online to check!! Good Luck to everyone :) |
