Q: Leave ONLY plusses & postive comments?

This is about the umpteenth time someone has suggested leaving only happy little clicks :)

I leave positive little snippets whenever I can and sometimes I will comment and say a deal isn't technically what it is claimed to be (e.g., put free w/p b/c others have told me the same etc.). I also comment to say where else you can get a similar if not better deal, which I think is helpful for others but somehow becomes a negative comment? Whatever.

I like getting "negative" comments that will help me post better! If you tell me it's not a good deal and explain why, that's the best, because it makes me a better shopper myself :) If my posting sounds inaccurate, I love a correction so I can stop looking dumb with my mistake.

We need to take negative feedback in stride, not as a personal attack!

What are your thoughts? :)

I agree with you, there's nothing bad with A little constructive criticism.. It makes us better persons! In this case better posters and better shoppers ;)

I suppose its all in the way the feedback is constructed. I dont know any person who likes to hear that their deal is crap, but like you say, it's a learning situation that is very helpful. There's ways to flag a deal for the moderators attention, but it would be nice for the poster to also get notice about any issues.

Constructive criticism. The first word is the key.

I agree, the site is about getting great deals, and I don't mind comments that help us get there.

Actually, we were always required to leave positive feedback.

I always help the newbies when I see they are doing their best at posting deals and being a part of this site.
But, if someone is posting spam or a deal which isn't really a deal, I usually try to encourage that person to do better, or if it's just spam, to get off the site.
