Q: listing fakes
|
I'm not trying to promote the manufacturing and distribution of counterfeit goods, but there's a market for people who prefer to spend less for replica's. We see it every day in grocery stores for instance, with cheaper generic brands of cereal next to the same exact name branded cereal. Assuming the item posted follows all legal guidelines, is there a clear and descriptive method of posting deals that cater to this market without being mistaken?

| There is a big difference between a fake and a generic. Posting a fake coach bag, or fake jerseys, or fake lacoste shirts or whatever else should not be allowed. it is no different than posting links to where someone can download pirated movies or music. It is copyright/trademark infringement and is illegal. |

Here is a tip what I do... I search the deals to get a feeling of what kind of deals are posted. Then work your way from there. If you find something you like, post it. Don't post it if there is no sale on the item and a expensive price. It's all about researching the site and getting a feeling for it. Thats what I did. |

| The main issue I see here is that the fakes are listed without mentioning they are. I don't see anyone listing Dollar General glass cleaner as Windex. :) |
