I wouldn't. but maybe that's just me. I wouldn't expect anybody to chip in for a dog's care, and I especially wouldn't ask for money for someone else's dog. Never heard of lung cancer in a dog. Lung cancer in humans require surgery, chemo and radiation therapy and the patients still have a mixed prognosis, but humans have a 72 year life expectancy. This is a dog, with 10(?). Even with good result from sugery the question of metastasis would remain. Plus, I would expect most people would be skepticle about something like this with the liklihood of scammers setting up something that sounds this sqirrely.

I have actually heard of people at an office chipping in for chemo for a colleague's dog.

My husbands dog had cancer, but by the time they found it the cancer had spread so far that there was a mass on the x-rays that looked anomalous--it was the only piece of healthy tissue left, the rest of both lungs was cancerous.

It is sad, but then when there are people out there that don't have money to pay for chemo for a human loved one it is hard to justify giving to a dog instead, if you are going to give.

I suggest having your friend use facebook to get donations from friends and other dog lovers. I think facebook will have much better results, because people actually know your friend.

Also, here is some info on dog lung cancer. It does exist, but is rare.
