Q: Petition to Add Ability to edit Category

I would like to see if anyone else is interested in seeing if DP could add the ability when we Edit a deal to include being able to edit the category listing.

On occasion we mistakenly put deals in the wrong category or later realize it would be better suited in another category but are unable to change it.

This may result in either thumbs down or hurt our reputation,even if not literally than in people's minds that we are not reliable.

I ran across this today where a deal was posted under FREE but really should have been under NEWS because the company was randomly giving out free items but there was no way to actually GET the freebie and the poster of the deal had no way of changing it.

If you think this is something you would like to see incorporated perhaps you could comment here and/or submit a suggestion to DP.

You should be able to edit the entire deal if its your own. That being said how about we get rid of this news category altogether because NEWS isnt a deal. Leave that junk for the ask and share section. Share your news if you have some not put it in with the deals.

I haven't seen that you can edit category,unless maybe you go through expiring the deal and reposting

Yeah xptrish is right you can't edit that part.. I agree That is something that should be incorporated to deal editing section

Sorry, my first sentence could be interpreted a few different ways. What I meant to say is you should have th ability to edit the entire deal if it is your own.
