One reason I hate even trying to browse the freebie section is the sheer amount of submissions being Apps. Do you all think apps whether free or not should be placed under the APP category and not under freebies? This would clear up much of the clutter. Besides, what apps would really go under the apps category? Hopefully people arent posting full price apps in there but discounted and free apps.

Seems like the right place for them for me. I wont download most aps even if they are free.

krmills thats exactly what im talking about. Apps, books, recipes, and all this garbage that everyone should already know you can get for free somewhere. When I want to browse freebies I want to see free magazine, or tee shirts, or golf balls. But I want to see physical items not crap I can download.

Maybe we can separate in a sub category, digital freebie and other freebie. Just like you can choose 'clothing' and the subcategories 'men's' or 'women's' or accessories.

The freebies section rarely has anything to get excited about. It generally is full of apps/mp3s/eBooks that I can find on my own. The occasional compilation can be helpful but even those I could do without if it meant a freebies section with cool stuff in it.

Ohhh or my favorite, free instructions on how to make crafts with "free printables". Seriously, if I have to print it, it's not free to me--ink is not cheap.

I agree with you. Freebies should be something that typically isn't free. Apps, recipes, etc should be excluded

I agree with the sub-category option,I think this way if someone is looking for a particular free item this will narrow it down and make it more user friendly
