First of all thank you SO much for serving the greatest country in the world!

I have been in the Air Force Reserves since 2005 and have loved interacting with soldiers from all over the country. I love hearing the stories and experiences from em all.

With that said...

I would like to hear some of your favorite military stories.

I am not a vet but when my dad was a very young soldier, stationed in New Mexico, he and another guy "borrowed" a lieutenants Jeep and went joy riding through the desert. They got back after curfew so they had to crawl over the barbed wire fence. He still has the scares from stitches on his belly. He somehow managed not to get caught and the lieutenant must have wondered how his Jeep ended up outside the gate.

I was state side for my 4 years in the Air Force, which was pretty uneventful. Basic stories of young guys hanging out together being young guys, drinking beer and trying to walk a fine line between pushng boundaries and staying out of trouble. Made some of the best friends a person could have. Wish I had stayed in contact with more of them.

My parents were both in the U.S. Army, stationed overseas when they met and got married within 3 months of meeting. 30 years later, they are still together:)
