Q: Question on Saveology Deal!

100
So I purchased the dominos Saveology deal today that offered $10 worth of credit for $5. Then I realized that I had to call them to redeem the voucher so that they could send me the giftcard.

Once I did all of that the guy on the phone offered me another deal which was too good to be true so I said No at the moment but now I can't stop thinking about it and was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience?

He offered me a $100 Visa gift card through Saveology for a processing fee of $4.99 only, given the fact I use my credit card to pay the processing fee. Has anyone been offered this deal and have actually bought it? I would like to know for next time, if the offer comes along again.

Thanks in advance..

No!! They get you you on those fees... Not sure what the first thing was all about, but all those "special offers" that are offered are just another gimick to get more money from you.
If this is something you need to take care of, fine. But, any "special offer" they tell you after is a spam.

Visa gift cards almost always have a fee in addition to their value, so I imagine that Saveology was trying to make to THINK that the card and its $100 value were your for a total sum of $4.99. Did he word it just like you stated "a processing fee of $4.99 only" or more like "for only a processing fee of $4.99"? The first wording does not suggest that anything other than the processing fee alone is $4.99.

good thing you said no its not a gift card but a discount card valid for 1 year and then if you had said yes they subscribe you to another magazine offer that if you don't call to cancel you will be charged after 30 days, im still waiting of the $10 for a $25 regal gift card just hoping i dont have to deal with a credit card dispute

Mdavidk30 - I did not take up that offer because it was too good to be true but I just wanted to check with folks here about it.

@ Fluffy - He said exactly like I mentioned. He will send me a $100 visa giftcard and I will just have to pay the $4.99 processing fee for the giftcard, using my credit card.

Being a Business major I am always very very careful about monetary scams like this but since lot of people buy Saveology deals here, I wanted to here if any else experienced anything similar.

@rd995 - are you serious? I always thought Saveology was a legit company. Never heard anywhere here on Dealspl mention once about their bad experience with them. When did you purchase your deal?

Thanks so much for your input on that $100 gift card offer. I knew it was too good to be true...

Yea... I would've liked this story more if you asked him what the total would be but it just sounds like he was selling the fee part which was "only $4.99" :/

I bought the iTunes card and the guy asked me the same question about the $100 Visa card. I obviously said no because again it was too good to be true. My gift card finally arrived several weeks later and I will never buy from them again. They are very shady.
