Q: So going into detail counts as an update?

Recently I posted about an upcoming deal and Ezzy thankfully added a promo code for free shipping and the link for the deal once it became active. She also let us know prices started at $3.99.

But then a mod added details about the discounts such as up to 50% OFF for x items, etc. I think it counted as an update because my icon doesn't show up on the deal anymore? For now, I'm watching it to see if I am still on the deal or not by checking if I continue to accumulate $.

Don't get me wrong, I like getting as complete of deal info as possible and I don't resent updates--half the time the update saves me money as a customer! I just want to know what I can and should do so I don't step on anyone's toes. For example, I was going to add all the info afterward but didn't want to bump Ezzy's icon down on the deal. What do you guys think? Maybe I'm way over-thinking this, lol!

**Update, looks like I am up a penny on that deal since I posted this. So I am still counted on it even though my icon isn't on it? Confusing, lol!

Sometimes people "update" the deals and there picture shows up but not unless they made a real change do they get the money for the deal... For instance when I first started on here there was a person who would add some words to your deal when it was about to get to the front page and I would still usually get all the money from the deal....

Oh I get it, so really even if your image place changes or goes off the deal you can still be making money on it if you legitimately should. :)

Yes but sometimes it does change the status from deal to update but it is rare and all you have to do is contact a mod and they will fix it

Yeah, what @nimase85 said. The picture doesn't mean that MM credit was necessarily taken away from you. The mods decide whether an update is 'worthy' of that.

nimase85 and maven3 are right. Just because someone's image is shown as an editor it does not mean they have earned money on the post.

In order for someone to earn money for editing a post they must add value to the post (price drop, bonus item, etc.).

Maybe then... when an update is not one that is worthy of earnings, then that updaters image shouldn't show. People are still very confused about this.
