For me it's kind of like a top 4 priority list. I visit them in order until I find what I want.

Amazon.com
Newegg.com
Buy.com
eBay.com

It Mostly depends on the types of electronics you are looking to buy. If you wan a computer or computer parts Newegg.com should be your first stop. If its for miscellaneous or hard to find item or just your looking for a good old bidding war eBay.com is by far your best option. If you want a quick deal or impulse buy Buy.com is top of its class. last but not least there is amazon.com Amazon is good for just about everything. whether its a good deal or a impulse buy, Amazon.com has your back! But i'm still partial to Newegg.com for computer parts.

Summery: Amazon.com is best for almost everything but computer parts and Newegg.com is good for computer parts and even games. Keep in mind that you can use any of the websites above and more to buy stuff, so my advice to you is to go where the deal is.

You gave a wonderful explanation, but I was just looking for people'e first choice...sometimes you are in an urgency and cannot wait for a deal to pop-up. What will be your stop shop in such situations ? :)

For anything but computer parts I start with Amazon.com. For computer components I start with Mwave.com, and if they don't have it I go with Newegg.com.

Amazon is on the top of my list. If BestBuy has a deal I like, I usually order online and pickup in store. Buy.com and Newegg round out my list. But if a site has a good rating, excellent return policy and better price, that would usually trump all the above.

Amazon generally has pretty good deals. If you want to go to GameStop, you can, but the only reason they would be good for games is if there is any extra downloadable content.

there are a few sites, and many of them have deals here and there, but they all seem to usually be specific in items. for instance, i used to frequent newegg for my small electronics, but tigerdirect for bigger items.

nowadays, i'm all about amazon. as a student, i have prime membership. also, with no tax and free shipping, i mean c'mon. that's awesome. i feel like nowadays shipping is the killer. tax is expected, but shipping..ridiculous sometimes. so amazon is my current go to place.

The store which sells it the cheapest, delivers it the fastest, and doesn't hassel me when I return it.... 98% of the time amazon wins.

99% of the time the lowest prices you will find on an electronic item will come from Amazon or Newegg. Buy.com at times does well too but nothing compares to the service of Newegg or Amazon.

Usually wherever Dealspl.uc leads me. Though I prefer places that take paypal.

For electronics, I have a strong bias to newegg (even if the price is a bit higher some times). Can't beat the service and shipping times.

Amazon is a winner a lot of time as well. I've bought a lot there, including a hoover wind tunnel for $50 shipped (I don't know how they do it).

I usually start out by Google shopping for the things I'm looking for. I think most of us get in the habit of doing this so we don't end up getting ripped off for something we want for a bargain.

Hope this helps...=]

I have to agree that Amazon is the site to get the best deals, cause I have memberships that give me gift cards to ever lower the price and the no tax or shipping cost is why it is most people's #1 choice.
