Q: What makes DealPulp so much more deal worthy than other sites?

The deal of the day for DealPulp.com is front paged every day and I'd like to know what makes it so much more desirable than other similar sites? Personally, I've purchased more deals from Eversave, Living Social, Groupin, & Mamapedia. I just don't get it, the prices aren't any better, and a lot of deals are the same. Enighten me.

Better online reputation management?

"Online reputation management (or monitoring) is the practice of monitoring the Internet reputation of a person, brand or business, with the goal of suppressing negative mentions entirely."

For example - giving thumbs down to critical comments.

@becky457- I don't understand, does that mean it just gets promoted positively, and anything negative gets swept under the rug? Or saying that there isn't any negative feedback about it according to Internet monitoring data?
I think the company is affiliated with dealsplus in some way cause it's always one of the ads at the top of this site.

Dealpulp is a sister site of Dealspl.us! I figured the deals always get front paged because the moderators all plus it to support the company they work for.

At least that makes sense.

@Yaloco - I don't know anything more about dealspulp except that their deals are lousy. Online reputation management has many facets including both eliminating and/or discrediting negative images, comments, etc. and promoting positive attitudes, comments, etc. This can include setting up fake blogs to promote a product, giving away free product in anticipation of a good review, paying people to write positive reviews or give thumbs up to deals, etc.

The wikipedia article goes into more detail.

I don't think DealPulp is much different than Groupon or some other sites. It just offers different deals and frankly, I like it! I have found a few that I thought inspiring enough to save on.

I dont have anything negative to say about DealPulp. I think its about equal to the others in price & products (some I can use-some not). I tend to like buying from most of the one a day deal sites that have been popping up everywhere. It was just eating at me to know what made it jump to the front page within minutes of being posted? At first I thought maybe it always offered free shipping (I'm a sucker for free shipping)-- but nope. Finally I had decided it gives out a nugget of gold with every order. Too bad that's not the answer I've gotten here :(

I haven't been overly impressed by the Dealpulp deals but everyone needs to start somewhere and I expect as time goes on their deals will improve. I assume the deals are getting plused and front paged because of their relationship with Dealpl.us and I kind of expect that to happen. I think it's one of their biggest marketing tools and it would be dumb for them not to do it.

With all that being said, if anyone wants to send me free products or pay me to write reviews, just let me know --I"d be happy to help :-)
