Q: What Service Are You Using For Streaming Movies, TV Shows, And Other Video?
|
I can't quite seem to cut the cord from Comcast but we have found much cheaper sources for movies. Comcast charges per movie and that gets expensive pretty quickly. Since I have Amazon Prime we get unlimited streaming of a large library of movies and TV shows. I consider that more or less free since I bought Prime for the shipping. When I bought our Roku box we got three months of Hulu Plus for free. The jury is still out on Hulu Plus. Finally, we have Netflix for streaming-only at around $8.00 a month. We will probably not keep Hulu Plus when the free trial is up.
I'm curious about what other folks are using and what combinations are working best for you. ![]() |

@gangstabarbie ...i believe they are talking about media streaming services but damn $120 a month...you are over paying for your fios... i have netflix...but i am tired of them putting out crappy B class movies from like the past few decades..who the hell wants to watch that? why am i paying to watch crap? really got to get their game up and make a deal with a new company to bring some quality entertainment. I'm on the verge of just canceling it. i had hulu plus for awhile also. lots of new episodes of TV shows but lacked in the movie department...i believe amazon prime is the same...unless you pay for the on Demand and that's per movie. |

continued rant....=P but out of all the service i've tried and even tired of the games netflix are playing with their customers. Netflix does offer the best in media streaming. one monthly payment for unlimited viewing of movies and TV shows. i hope you find the right services for your media needs. |

| My kids are the consumers of streaming video and they seem happy. I only watch tv if visiting my girlfriend and even there I tend to surf while she watches tv. My boys enjoy watching tv episodes more so than movies. I sometimes watch the 40s Sherlock Holmes series on my computer via Netflix. I listen to a lot of old time radio and Sherlock Holmes is my favorite. I wasn't born till '58 but I have an affinity for the 30s and 40s radio. |

| I just download TV shows and watch them when I have free time. I have a Netflix account for my sister to use since she doesn't have cable. I haven't actually used it in months! Oh and I'm content with the free hulu since I only use it to watch Jon Stewart and Cobert. |
