"AppShopper" is a great iPhone app that is free. It provides you with a live feed of games/apps that are free or on sale. This app is really useful if you don't want to buy apps/games but at the same time want some really cool apps/games to play. "AppMiner" is another iPhone app that is free that provides the same functionality but overall I prefer the interface on the AppShopper more.

Top for me: (I have a touch, but most of these are on android as well)

1. Teamviewer (awesome app, free remote desktop control)
2. Dropbox (2GB of synced cloud storage)
3. Genius Scan (free camera-to-pdf app, email yourself business cards etc)
4. AppShopper (the best promotional free app finder I've used)
5. Stanza (ebook and pdf reader)
6. Siri (voice activated search that books taxis, sets alert reminders, reserves resturants, etc)
7. GV Mobile +/Fring/Sipgate (combo that allows free wifi calling)
8. greenposi0n/cydia (use to unlock and get quick access settings menus, five rows of icons, lots of tweaks, and if you are so inclined, free apps)
