Maybe because you are past the 15 comments per day allowance

I love when people comment on how good a deal is, and then don't give it a thumbs up......

Certain money makers have a max of 15 comments per day while some max out at 10 comments. This is determined by the quality of comments you post on dealspl.us.

To answer the OP's question, there is a limit to the amount of words you need to exceed for your comment to count. In addition, the quality to the comment also factors in. A lot who go "nice find" "good deal" will obviously not get credit for the comment.

Don't sprain your arm patting yourself on the back gangsterbarbie.

encorez: Me too. I also hate when I go out of my way to comment on someones posting, tell them they had a good posting and they wont thumbs up the comment. If I can type something out and give a thumbs to the deal, the poster could at LEAST reciprocate.

I really don't know why some of my comments don't count! I tested the length thing and I posted comments over 2 lines that were really good about how this certain deal was so good, and it didn't count.

I think there is LAG sometimes too when you post a comment and when the MM page updates, I have posted comments and they don't show up until the next day as being credited. I would also like to say if you are commenting and say the deal is "GREAT" you should PLUS it or give it a thumbs up. PLUS's are FREE and are appreciated if the deal is good. I see a lot of people saying great deal but the deal only has 4 plus!?!

Do comments catch up?
Let me clarify - if I posted 16 comments one day and it counts as 15 on that day, will the one extra comment count the day after?
I hope this makes sense. Also, I've found that the count fluctuates... Don't know if it's because of quality control or what so I try to "make up" for it whenever I see it under 15/day

When you guys say to "thumbs up" a comment, are you talking about the "Did this deal work for you?" line? Why would one click thumbs up if one didn't purchase the deal? I mean, anyone can plus a deal, but if I understand correctly, people should only thumbs up/down if they actually get the deal. Right?

zacharyzblewski, I think they are talking about the thumbs up button next to the comment. Like if you look at your comment there is a thumbs up and and thumbs down to the right of it.
