Q: Why Under Armour brand is so popular?

So, I was doing a research online for popular athletic brand for guys, and I see that Under Armour clothing is now even more popular that Nike? When did that happen? It was a total surprise to me. What makes this brand so much better that the other ones? I personally do not see a big difference. As a matter of fact, I like Puma the most. What am I missing>?

a lot of times it's just marketing. it also has to do, i think, with who they choose to sponsor. the material that they use is great for athletes...it's light on your body..and when it gets wet, it dries quickly...

other brands use the same material, but i feel like under armour came out with only using that material at first..whereas the other brands, such as nike, were already using the traditional materials...cotton, polyester, etc.

Under Armour has these amazing pants that will keep you warm no matter how cold the temperature is! They are heat insulated built to block the freezing air seeping through while at the same time giving you breathing room for your skin.

Who would have thought that they could technologize a pair of pants?! I thought that was just for computer stuff!

Come do my job in temps from -20 to 110 and you will see why under armour rocks. The stuff works, and does a better job than nike pro combat, or the other brands heat and cold gear. they make very comfy hoodies, sweats, socks, they are just doing things right.

Under ARMOUR IS A GREAT BRAND! Thats all my husband wears now. The store is pretty cool to walk inside also.The only thing is, I wish they would "actually" have a sale or some coupons. They are pretty expensive though!

Under armour makes nice clothes! Quality! I wouldn't go as far to say its more popular than Nike, as it is nike or nothing on shoes and athletic shirts and stuff.

I love flaunting logos in public and UA is a great one. Everything I buy has to have a logo on it. It tells people that I am intelligent and sophisticated. Thank god for logos because without them, I wouldn't know what else to do to gain a sense of self-worth. I just bought a polo with an over-sized Ralph Lauren logo to show strangers how sophisticated I am and I am loving it.

^...to make fun of the posters that love labels and quality clothing, nothing more. Wearing Puma or Nike or even UA is a lot more than a logo, it's about quality or fit or price. Which, by the way, I'd like to see a piece of clothing in your wardrobe, mAmphetamine, without a logo on. Unless you make your own clothes and abhor shopping, that comment was out of place. Come to think of it, so would your being on this site ....

I don't wear UA myself, but have heard wonderful things about it and would recommend it as a brand to other people looking for that type of clothing.
