Well it all depends on if you like getting your personal information stolen from you. If that's your thing, then go for PS3! Oh, and you get the added bonus of no PSN service for weeks at a time!

Personally PS3 is better. PS3 has Blu-ray player and PSN network is free unlike Xbox where you need to pay for online.

I own both consoles and it depends. If you are going to 1.play with your friends online often 2.into online multiplayer 3.play shooting games, definitely go for 360.
I am more into sports and JRPG games so personally I pick PS3.

I have both systems as well and I prefer my xbox to my PS3. I use my xbox as my media player and to listen to music with. Its a solid machine and the navigation in the menu's is a lot more to my likings then that of my ps3. The PS3 has better graphics then the xbox and the blu-ray player is a pretty thing to have but I hate the playstation controllers. I find my xbox controller to be much more comfortable when using for long periods of time.

We have a 360 and a Wii. Sony deliberately shorts their production to create artificial demand so they can justify their jacked up prices, no thanks. We don't use bluray and never will, so honestly, there's no reason to pay more for a system that does less.

I have 3 360's in my house, but only 1 PS3 and only 1 Wii. So...yeah.

I have xbox 360 with kinect and a ps3. I say get both if you can. I use my xbox to play with friends that dont have ps3 and to play the kinect. i also have the ps3 to play my shooter games and use it for blu ray and 3D movies. You have to pay for online xbox, but if you want PS PLUS, it cost about the same amount. plus, when PS3 was down because fo the hack, i didnt miss a beat. just played xbox. when my xbox red ringed, i played ps3 untill i got a new one. Also, when a exclusive game comes out, i am covered. I like having both, now that i can afford it. If you can't afford it, then you should probably just get a xbox and get it modded. Hope this helps

Anyone who says PSN is better because its free should be slapped upside the head. Xbox Live Silver is also free and about the equivalent of the free PSN, Xbox Live Gold annihiltes PSN so if you cant spend $35 a year for a much more superior online experience then its on your but dont use its awesome because its free. And dont we care about game libraries? The 360 library dwarfs that of the PS3. Should we compare the move to the Kinect? There is no comparison. Im no 360 fan boy but if you hate MS then its your problem, its the best console on the market hands down and no arguement.
