Q: Your Opinion, Please?

Is it better for a deal to "look" good rather than be "better?"

example:
1. awesome item, coupon takes xx% off BUT shipping adds it back plus more. Looks good with really low price, yes?  Well -
2. same awesome item, different store AND a coupon ships it free = lower TOTAL price.

Oh, and I don't necessarily mean food item shipping - that's high to cover special issues of handling. ;)

I always consider only the bottom line price on any deal.

Likewise with Fluffy, I only ever look at the shipped price.

It's a poorly posted deal IMO if the shipping price is intentionally left off in order to make the deal look better.

On a similar note, it really annoys me when stores don't list shipping costs, or worse yet, make you sign up/in to find out 90% of the way through check out.

If there is shipping I usually bundle the price so that the viewer knows the total cost. I really don't like it when I click on a deal because I get excited that the price is only $1.99 only to find that the shipping is $6.99. That doesn't look good and it makes me feel a bit poorly towards the person who posted the deal.

I look at the reviews... if there are a lot of GOOD reviews- even if it's not a great sale, I still consider it to be a Great deal! If it has no reviews, I would consider it, if it's a great price.
Otherwise, if its rated under 3 stars- I skip over it.
