It's not about whether you like guns or not. It's about defending your right to bear arms, if you so choose. Remember this, most criminals don't buy their guns at wal-mart, big 5, or Dick's.

This is your chance as the first poster said to support the right to bear arms - and opine about the need to control weapons that have little use other than to mow down folks - automatic and assault rifles. Also might be a good way to comment on handgun proliferation.

Should I spend my time and money contributing to charities that help people? Or supporting weapons that murder people... I have to do some soul-searching. Brb.

I find it very amusing that the same folks that are against guns are the same people that support abortion (murdering a baby).

The right to bear arms is a gray area - does the constitution say individuals can bear arms or that a militia can bear arms? Regardless of which interpretation you believe is correct, virtually unregulated firearms are responsible for enough mayhem in this country to make one think again about whether or not this is a reasonable "right." The NRA is not a force for freedom; it is obstructionist and consistently against basic public safety, and giving away free memberships suggests that it desperately wants to improve the numbers it can throw at legislators who may want to reduce the deaths and injuries for which under-regulated firearms are responsible.

WOW Do you want the government to take more rights away? If you let them control the guns then they have have no fear of the people to take back the government. The politicians are our employees and they work at our discretion. If they keep up with limiting our rights given to us by Our Creator or spending money we don't have, we might need to take our country back. Also if you take guns or control guns, responsible people would not have the right to protect themselves or their families. Criminals will still find and have guns, that will make things even more unsafe.

Shall not be infringed. Is not a grey area.

The right to bear arms is a god given right not to be touched by the capital letter State.
