Definately, grab a Wii while you can, they are great. I was lucky to get mine last October while on vacation. I am old Nintendo fan, so I especially love the Virtual Console.

No, VC is only old games. Just roms of old snes, nes, and n64 games.

Wiiware on the other hand, is newer downloadable games. There's a difference.

That said there's nothing wrong with getting a virtual console version of a game. You may be lucky enough to still have your snes, but mine stopped working a long time ago. It's nice to be able to get some of your favorite games from the past on VC, and it's what makes the wii so great. You can play titles from any nintendo generation on one console.
