Gadgets Of The Expensive Kind: Part 1

30
Nobody loves gadgets more than I do.  Were I wealthy I would need a large facility just to store them.  But, I am not wealthy. I know I'm not wealthy because I don't own any of the gadgets on my latest Page for gadgets.  If you do own any of these please think of me when you are playing with them.

Flying Hovercraft:  $150,000.  Technically this might be too big to be a gadget but I'm going to allow it (as the judge would say).  It skims over water and can clear objects up to 20'.

Blackmagic Cinema Camera:  $3,000.  This is not your father's camcorder.  This one has a 2.5K CCD sensor and can do RAW video recording.  It has a Carl Zeis lens  with 13 stops of dynamic range.  Every DP'er should have one for birthday parties and holidays.  Or not.

AMG V12 Turntable:  $15,000.  Still got some Led Zeppelin vinyl?  Also got $15,000 to spend on a turntable?  This is a very nice turntable.  If you are wealthy, you could buy two.

Ramos Alarm Clock:  $350.  This clock requires you to get out of bed and enter a code to make it stop, well, alarming.  It manages to look futuristic and very old at the same time.  You could use it to make sure you are not late for your hovercraft lesson.

Robot Boxing Machines:  $17,000.  And I thought Rock 'em Sock 'em robots were cool back in the 70s.  These are cool, too.

Sony 4K Home Theater Projector:  $25,000.  This would only look good in a home theater that is bigger than my townhouse. 4196 x 2160 resolution.  I think that's better than my actual eyes.

This will have to do for part one.  I will put together another list of expensive gadgets in the near future.

I hadn't thought of it that way but I guess it would make 1080p seem kinda shabby lol

I think I will also do a Page on expensive jewelry that one can actually buy. I mean, as opposed to something priceless that the Queen owns or the Vatican. Stuff that they have at a jewelry store or even Amazon. That would be fun :)

i like the camera too seems very simple but it has lots of potential but out of my price range still a good price if you are into short film and things like that

If I save long enough I could probably buy fuel for the hovercraft . . .

That clock reminds me of the show Lost... If you don't enter the code, something bad will happen!

I loved it when Battlebots used to come on the TV. The boxing bots reminded me of them.

Speaking of over the top pricey items....I saw a woman drive her powder blue Ferrarri to CVS this weekend. You can bust on powder blue vis a vis Jeff Dunham all you wanna and it may apply to a Prius, but I'd kill a man for a powder blue Ferrari.
