I bought this for a Panasonic DMC-FZ50. It works well. You can use batteries or a long-cable power adapter that comes with. Note however, that even though there's a piece that can be attached to the hot-shoe, the ring has no connectors and therefore it doesn't sync with the camera flash. I wished it had the TTL, but it works for the price.
