What a scam. Went to my local in Chicago - "we have no specials." Absolute bull. If none of your restaurants carry the promotion, you really can't be advertising it.

actually..when i called the customer service number, the guy said that about 85% of the mcD stores are privately owned..which means that they can advertise their own special promotion or deals.

Well, the branch I went to was a corporate owned store, so are you saying that some franchisee is advertising this in his/her own store, and the corporate stores aren't? Doesn't it sound like it should be the other way round? anyway, I did a search on Google news, but the only thing I found was a mention about it in Utah, but state-wide. In the entire state of Utah, it can't all be the same franchise owner right?

This deal sucks. It doesn't apply to 95% of McDonalds locations. It's a promotion for a few select locations but most likely it's not at one that's close to you.

so far..a lot of places i have called haven't heard of this promotion, however i did call the mcD's customer line and the person who picked up DID hear about the promotion..but again..not participating in that city either. good luck all.
