It provides very punchy deep bass from a small enclosure. It was able to handle the Telarc recording of the 1812 Overture cannons at extremely high volume without overdriving or audble distortion. It has very fast transient response. There are very little location clues to where the sub placed, It is paired with my bookshelf speakers with a high crossover point. The controls and remote provide many configuration options including a four position phase selector. Kudos to Sunfire for bringing us the mircosub. You cannot circumvent the laws of physics so the high power amplifier must make up for the use of a small driver that cannot move as much air as a larger driver. It is great to have a tiny sub that kicks butt.
