iPhone Activation

To activate your iPhone you’ll need a PC or Mac, a credit card or debit card, a valid Social Security Number, access to the Internet and an email address. iPhone activation requires a two-year contract with AT&T. When you connect your iPhone for the first time, iTunes will walk you through the steps required to activate, including selecting a rate plan and, if you like, transferring your existing phone number. Refurbished 4GB iPhone models cannot be activated at Apple Retail stores or AT&T stores.

Activate your iPhone with these simple steps:

1. Download and install the latest version of iTunes.
2. Connect your iPhone to your Mac or PC using the included USB cable and iPhone dock.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions in iTunes to activate iPhone and choose an AT&T wireless plan.
4. Sync your contacts, calendars, email accounts, bookmarks, music, photos, videos and more.
