Unfortunately I was correct. The date originally posted for the sale price of $64.99 was incorrect. It was not 7/7/09, it was 7/6/09. I can confirm the price for this item was $64.99 yesterday.

As of this morning it was back up to $79.99.

However, as of right now, the price is $69.99. I have no idea how long that is good for though. Newegg's pricing habits are really annoying. They jump around and change so much that I purposely avoid the site, unless someone points out a deal, on something I need, right at that moment. Otherwise, due to the constant practice of changing prices, I don't shop there.

In any case, if anyone was interested, the price went down to $69.99, which isn't as good as yesterday, but is only $5 bucks more. I probably would have picked it up for $64.99, but simply due to the fact Newegg annoys me, I'm not paying $69.99. It's not that great of a price. I just got a 500gb Western Digital external drive this past weekend for $59.99. So, I'll just wait for another deal.

I'm pretty sure this deal is over. This was $64.99 yesterday afternoon at 5:00 PM when I looked at it. Unfortunately it's back up to $79.99 now. I was going to purchase it and figured I'd wait. That was a mistake. I don't know why it says the price will be $64.99 at 1pm today, 7/7/09, since it was yesterday, when this was posted, that the price was $64.99. I think the poster just got the date wrong. I hope that's not the case though. I'll check again today at 1:00 PM PDT, but I'm not optimistic. This deal has already come and gone. Whether it comes again is a mystery.
