it's not *that* amazing, kmart and other sites have had ps3's on sale with a 10% off coupon and free shipping, so it'd be $540 shipped and it would be fully compatible with all ps2 games and dvds

Yeah, I don't use mine for DVDs, but I do use it for PS2 games. There are some great games coming out exclusively for the PS2 (God of War 2). But this is a good deal who want a PS3 for only PS3 games/Blu-rays.

never thought of that. I never owned a PS2 or PS1 so that wouldnt really affect me. Plus you always have your old system lying around. You can play it on that.
