The travel industry wants a bigger piece of your wallets on Black Friday, Nov. 23, the biggest shopping day of the year, and Cyber Monday, Nov. 26.

This year, companies from Orbitz to Club Med to Starwood Hotels are putting rooms on sale, and some of them aren't waiting until Black Friday. Starwood, for instance, has kicked off its sale on more than 500 hotels.

Individual hotels in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York are also kicking off sales.
