To difficult to control the heat and a pain to clean. It's not a gas "grill" it's a gas "griddle" - no open flame cooking. We used it a few times camping and it made life more difficult. Ended up selling it and getting a Weber Q for grilling and an electric skillet for frying. Life is better.
