Why would it be fake? Simple, you have to go to the amazon site to vote and to try to purchase the great deal. Amazon gets you to the site, you have to log in and based on your other purchases they will present sales in hopes you buy other stuff. You won't buy if they can't get you on the site.
They protected themselves - said quantities limited - (yes to zero),
had some consultant post the 1000 number to get all the interest.
That is wahy Amazon is AMAZON :-)

blank page for me as well. then 10 seconds later a pge read that it was sold out. i had my time adjusted on the computer and everything was good to go. i agree that this may have been a ploy. how in the world are we gonna prove anyway that they actually sold any at that great price? and that they had 1000 units for that price?

I'm on a 45M to the internet, had refresh ever few seconds. The page went from xbox to nothing but next weeks votes to sold out in 10 seconds. They had none, just a ploy.
